Skroll ("we", "our", or "us") is a Shopify application that adds a floating auto-scroll button to Shopify storefronts. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you install and use our app.

2. Information We Collect

Skroll is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to operate the app:

• Shop domain — to identify your store and authenticate app access
• App settings — your button configuration preferences (color, position, mode, etc.)
• Access tokens — to maintain your authenticated session with Shopify

We do not collect, store, or process any personal data about your store's customers or visitors.

3. How We Use Information

Information we collect is used solely to:

• Provide and maintain the Skroll service
• Save and apply your app settings to your storefront
• Authenticate your app session with Shopify
• Respond to support requests

4. Data Storage

App settings and session data are stored securely on our servers. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g. Shopify's platform infrastructure).

5. Customer Data (GDPR Compliance)

Skroll does not collect or store any personal data about your store's customers. The scroll button runs entirely in the visitor's browser and does not transmit any customer information to our servers.

In compliance with Shopify's GDPR requirements, we support the following data requests:

• Customer data requests — we hold no customer personal data
• Customer data erasure — no customer data to erase
• Shop data erasure — all shop data is deleted upon app uninstall

6. Data Retention

App settings and session data are retained while the app is installed. When you uninstall Skroll, all data associated with your shop is permanently deleted from our systems within 48 hours.

7. Third-Party Services

Skroll is built on Shopify's platform and operates within Shopify's infrastructure. Your use of Skroll is also subject to Shopify's Privacy Policy.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your data. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. Access tokens are stored securely and never exposed publicly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
