Everything you need to set up and customize Skroll on your Shopify store.

Installation

Installing Skroll takes less than 2 minutes and requires no coding.

Go to the Shopify App Store and search for Skroll or click the direct install link.

Click Add app and approve the installation on your Shopify store.

You'll be redirected to the Skroll dashboard inside your Shopify admin.

Activation

After installing, you need to enable the App Embed in your Theme Editor.

In your Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes.

Click Customize on your active theme.

Click the App Embeds icon in the left sidebar (puzzle piece icon at the bottom).

Find Skroll in the list and toggle it ON.

Click Save. The scroll button will now appear on your storefront.

Scroll Mode

Skroll offers two scroll modes configurable from the App Embeds settings panel.

Auto Scroll

Visitors tap the button once to start continuous smooth scrolling. The button fades slightly while active. Tapping again — or tapping anywhere on the page — stops the scroll. When the bottom of the page is reached, scrolling stops automatically and the button flips to a scroll-to-top arrow.

Page Jump

Each tap jumps the page down by a set percentage of the screen height. No continuous scrolling — great for structured content pages where visitors want to skip section by section.

Appearance

All appearance settings are available in the App Embeds panel under Theme Editor.

Background Opacity	Opacity for glass/frosted effect (10–100%)

Button Shape	Border radius from square (0%) to circle (50%)
Button Size	Overall button size (32–80px)
Border	Toggle border on/off with color, width, opacity

FAQ

The button isn't showing on my store

Make sure you've enabled the App Embed in Theme Editor → App Embeds → Skroll → ON, and clicked Save. Also check that "Enable Skroll button" is checked in the settings panel.

Will Skroll slow down my store?

No. The Skroll script is under 2KB, loads with defer (non-blocking), uses zero external libraries, and has no effect on your page speed score.

Does it work on all Shopify themes?

Yes. Skroll uses a Theme App Extension which is compatible with all Shopify 2.0 themes and is fully supported by Shopify's platform.

Can I show the button only on certain pages?

Yes — use the Show On setting to limit the button to your entire store, home page only, product pages only, or collection pages only.

How do I uninstall Skroll?

Go to your Shopify Admin → Apps → Skroll → Delete. All app data is permanently removed within 48 hours of uninstallation.
